Before booking, please note that lactation consultations and infant feeding support provided by Daisy are educational and supportive in nature and do not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from your GP, midwife, health visitor, paediatrician, or other healthcare professional. If you have concerns about your own or your baby’s health, wellbeing, feeding, weight gain, or hydration, please seek appropriate medical advice promptly. By booking a consultation, you acknowledge and accept these terms. 

Terms & Conditions - the basics

1. About the Service
Daisy provides infant feeding support, lactation education, and breastfeeding consultation services for parents and caregivers. Advice and support are tailored to each client based on the information provided during consultations.

2. Booking & Payment
Full payment is required at the beginning of the appointment. First appointments require a 50% deposit at the time of booking.
Appointments are confirmed only once payment has been received.
Prices are listed on the website/social media pages and may change at any time.
Travel charges may apply for home visits outside the standard service area.
Accepted payment methods:
Bank transfer
Card payment

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Clients may reschedule or cancel appointments with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.
If Daisy needs to cancel an appointment, an alternative appointment or full refund will be offered.

4. Late Arrivals
If a client arrives late, the session may need to finish at the scheduled time to avoid impacting other appointments.
Sessions shortened due to late arrival will still be charged at the full rate.

5. Health & Medical Disclaimer
Lactation consultancy services are educational and supportive in nature and do not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a GP, midwife, health visitor, or other healthcare professional.
Clients should seek medical attention for:
Concerns about infant weight gain
Dehydration
Fever or illness
Severe pain
Suspected tongue tie requiring medical assessment
Any urgent medical concerns
Clients are responsible for informing the consultant of any relevant medical history affecting parent or baby.

6. Client Responsibility
Clients understand that:
Feeding outcomes vary between individuals.
Recommendations are based on the information provided during consultations.
Success cannot be guaranteed due to the many factors affecting infant feeding.
Clients remain responsible for decisions regarding their own and their baby’s care.

7. Follow-Up Support
Follow up appointment can be booked via the booking form or email.
Emergency or urgent medical concerns should always be directed to NHS services or emergency care providers.

8. Confidentiality & Data Protection
All personal information is treated confidentially and stored securely in accordance with UK GDPR and data protection legislation.
Information will not be shared with third parties without consent unless required by law or where there is a safeguarding concern.

9. Home Visits
For home visits:
A safe and respectful environment must be provided.
Smoking should not take place during the visit.
Aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of the consultation without refund.

10. Intellectual Property
Any written materials, feeding plans, handouts, or resources provided remain the intellectual property of Daisy Gresswell and may not be copied, distributed, or reproduced without permission.

11. Limitation of Liability
Daisy Gresswell will not be held liable for:
Decisions made by clients following consultations
Outcomes related to infant feeding choices
Indirect or consequential loss arising from services provided
Nothing in these terms limits liability where prohibited by law.

12. Agreement
By booking a consultation, clients confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
